Voice of the People: Investigation Results

Excellent article by Breeanna Jent in the Oct. 15 issue of City News detailing the results of the investigation of false charges against Councilmember Frank Gonzales. Upon examining the online documentation, it would appear Richard De La Rosa and Citizens For Colton First, a political action committee (PAC), have forced the taxpayers into unwittingly funding a smear campaign against De La Rosa's opponent. Letters to the editor in City News written by the complainants, praising De La Rosa or attacking Gonzales, support this argument. I would hope these two parties report the cost of the investigation as an in-kind contribution from the City Of Colton on their next campaign finance reports. We will be waiting.
