COLTON >> Colton High School Junior Natalie Perez has been selected to represent Colton American Legion Auxiliary Unit 155 this year at the Girls Sate Program. Girls State is a Leadership and Citizenship Program to be held June 27 to July 2 at Claremont McKenna College. It is designed to increase awareness and knowledge of governmental processes. One delegate is selected from each high school, amounting to about 40 young ladies throughout District 25 representing their school at the program. Junior Class Counselors recommend Candidates for the interview selection. Seven intelligent young ladies were interviewed by members of the Auxiliary at Colton High School and among those, Natalie Perez was chosen. On April 24, every delegate chosen from various schools throughout the district gathered together to share experiences and socialize with each other as they will move on to the program filled with delegates from different districts, representing schools outside of their local area.
