First 5 Swears in Two Commission Members

On Feb. 4, San Bernardino County Supervisor Josie Gonzales and Paul Vargas, a board member with Oxford Preparatory Academy, were sworn in as First 5 San Bernardino Commission members. First 5 San Bernardino works to promote, support and improve the early development of children from the prenatal stage to five years of age under the guidance of the Children and Families Commission for San Bernardino, and in collaboration with the community and agencies providing services to children. The Children and Families Commission is comprised of seven members, appointed by the Board of Supervisors, to serve a total of two years.
