The Colton Police Department received a 911 call in reference to a vehicle vs. pedestrian traffic collision in the 1300 block of N. Mt. Vernon Ave., Colton. Upon the officers’ arrival, a 14-year-old juvenile, female was located, suffering from blunt force trauma. Colton Fire and AMR responded to the scene to render medical aide; however, she succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene. The Colton Police Department MAIT (Major Accident Investigation’s Team) team was called out and took over the investigation. At this time the identity of the female is being withheld pending notification next of kin. The investigation is still ongoing.
