A man has been left in critical condition after he was shot at a local hotel. Colton police officials were dispatched to the Rodeway Inn Hotel at about 10:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, where they located the victim, identified by police as a 20-year-old black male, who had been shot in the upper abdominal area. A release issued by Colton police officials stated that the suspect was no longer at the scene when they arrived. Corporal Ray Mendez said via email that police are still in the early stages of investigation and what led to the shooting.
