With summer right around the corner, it’s time to think about keeping children healthy while school is out. Colton Joint Unified School District provides free meals to children during the summer.
This summer, breakfast and lunch meals will be served at Colton, Bloomington, Grand Terrace, and Washington High Schools starting June 9 and ending July 25. No meals will be served the week of June 30 – July 4. Please call 909-580-6650 for specific meal times.
Free lunch meals will also be available at the Gonzales and Luque Community Center for neighborhood youth from June 9 – July 25, with the exception of July 4. Lunch meals will be served at the Gonzales Community Center from 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and at the Luque Community Center from 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
No registration or identification is required to participate in any of these programs. Any child under age 18 may come to eat.
Each year, the U.S. Department of Agriculture partners with local organizations like Colton Joint Unified School District to provide free meals to children when school is out for the summer.
