Colton and Loma Linda Fire units responded to a single story home with fire and heavy smoke consuming the front portion of a Colton home on Jan. 13, according to a release issued by the Colton Fire Department.
The blaze was controlled in approximately 10 minutes. It was reported just before 8:30 a.m.. Two truck companies, three engine companies and two chief officers responded to the incident. Additional support was provided by Colton Electric and the Southern California Gas Company.
The residence suffered significant fire and heat damage, fire reports say. Three of the family birds died in the fire. No civilian or firefighter injuries occurred.
