The Well Church kicked off its fall concert, Immersion, with a personal prayer. After an introduction by worship leader Jim Gray, children took the stage and led the audience in pledges before the concert kicked off with the strum of a guitar. Proceeds from the event will benefit the church and will also help with education, according to church leaders. Adjacent to the church building is a private K–6 school, offering tuition at nearly half the price of most private schools. Currently, shared church leaders, class sizes are small—only about two students to every teacher—allowing for more one-on-one education. The Oct. 26 concert offered a variety of music to concert-goers, ranging in genre from Gospel Rock to Latin Jazz to Contemporary Christian music. Event organizers shared they expected an audience of a few hundred attendees, and shared that with the church’s plans for more events such as this in the future, they hope to see those numbers grow steadily over time. The Well Church in recent years has undergone many changes, including a name change. The Well Church began as one of two Bible colleges located in Africa; today over 160 Christian churches descended from those colleges stand in that continent. The Well is located just off the I-215 freeway in Colton. It held its first session as The Well on Easter Sunday this year. Alena's original article: You may have heard the ad on the radio or seen the flyer round town or in your mailbox, and if you didn't attend the Immersion concert at The Well church, you were surely missing out. This place of worship, a rebuilt and long time work in progress, opened up their fall concert with a personal prayer led by the pastor then an introduction done by Worship Leader Jim Gray. The children of the church stepped onto the stage and led the audience in the pledges and the concert kicked off with the strum of a guitar. All proceeds to the event went towards funding and to help with education. Adjacent to the church is a private school that focuses on grades K-6. It offers a tuition that is nearly half the price of most private schools and is so small at the moment that there's an average of two kids per every one teacher. Giving the kids that attend the most careful and caring education possible. The concert offered a variety of music, ranging from Gospel Rock, Latin Jazz, and Contemporary Christian. They expected an audience of at least a couple hundred attendees, and with the upcoming events that the church is planning on putting on, the growth of members is only expected to grow. The Well church started from two bible colleges in Africa, and now over 160 churches stand ground in that country. This church, located right off the 215 in Colton, held their first session on Easter Sunday this year. It might be new, a work in progress, but this church is working hand in hand with the community to provide a place of worship for those who need it and only great things will come from it.
