Arianna “Ari” Villalobos from Grand Terrace High School left behind a legacy of selfless compassion and meaningful service to her hometown and the Inland Empire.
Ari passed away on October 9th, 2019 from a brain tumor. She was a student and exceptional soccer player at Grand Terrace High School and would have been a graduating senior in the class of 2022. Her wish, and now the mission of the Villalobos family, is to bring hope and healing to hurting hearts.
Ari’s desire was to help not only those with cancer but anyone going through hard times and in need of hope and encouragement.
The Aristrong Foundation is committed to continuing Ari’s selfless love and compassion for others by honoring local heroes in our midsts and bringing a purpose behind the pain. Every month, names are submitted and groups are nominated to the Aristrong Foundation to be an Ari’s Angel Hometown Hero.
This month the honor goes to the entire graduating class of Colton High School and Grand Terrace High School for their perseverance and determination to overcome the unique hardship of COVID and go on to graduate. Two seniors will receive this honor on her behalf: Ari’s best friend Lily Ahrlen from Grand Terrace High School, and Ari's cousin Karissa Escobar from Colton High School. In addition, every graduate from both schools will receive an Ari’s Angel Hometown Hero certificate. Check out the live interview with Lily and Karissa with the Aristrong Foundation on Facebook or Instagram Live on May 25th at 6:30 PM.
Ari’s vision and mandate to her parents has begun to work in the lives of our residents that will forever be changed, making Grand Terrace, Colton and the Inland Empire a better place to live.
