Colton RobberyAttempted Murder

On 11/14/17 at approximately 9:45 AM Colton Police Officers responded to a business (Smoke Shop), located in the 1600 Block of East Washington St, Colton, in reference to a possible stabbing.  Officers discovered that an unknown suspect entered the business and demanded money and/or property from the store clerk.  A struggle ensued inside the business.  The suspect was armed with a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times in the upper body and head.  The suspect then fled from the business.  The victim was transported to a local hospital and was listed in critical condition.  A search for the suspect was conducted by Colton Officers with assistance from the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department Aviation & K-9 Unit and Fontana Police Department K-9 Unit.  However, the suspect was not located.  The case is being investigated by the Colton Police Department Detective Division.   Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Detective Vega at (909) 370-5021 or (909) 370-5000.
