The upcoming General Election will hold its last voting date on November 8, 2022. For the city of Colton, there are three candidates running for Council Member- District 4, one is John R. Echevarria.
Here is their statement:
John R. Echevarria
Council Member
"I am honored to currently Represent Colton District 5 for the past two years. Now, because of redistricting, our electoral boundaries have expanded. We will condense from six districts to four, therefore, I now look forward to also represent District 4. A Colton resident for the past 27 years, my wife and I have been proud to raise our four children here. I am a Police Officer in a neighboring city with over 26 years of experience. I received my Associate's from SBVC, Bachelor's from CSUSB, and
Master's from CBU.
Since elected, I have remained committed to three priorities: Community Success, Customer Service, and Public Safety. I have contributed to Community Success by organizing voluntary neighborhood clean-ups, securing grant funding for road improvements, and promoting small businesses. I have improved Customer Service by streamlining the city's response to your concerns and swiftly addressing potholes, graffiti, traffic, replacing signs, homelessness, and fixing sidewalks. Public Safety is top priority as I secured additional police and fire staff in our budget!
I am so excited to serve my Colton family. I would love to keep this new positive energy flowing. I am seeking reelection and together let's keep Colton safe, clean, and enjoyable!"
