Monster Bash party attendees.

Witches, scary clowns, Miss Piggy, and so many more, showed up at the Luque Community Center door to enjoy the City of Colton Community Services Department 50+ Club Annual Halloween Monster Bash. Some seniors came from as far away as Yucaipa to participate, and the event was full of games and activities including a Gross-Out Body Parts Dare. The afternoon wouldn’t have been complete without the costume contest, which was judged by the Thompson Teen Center’s Teen Advisory Board members, who had a difficult job as over half of the 57 participants were dressed in costume. Winners were presented with a certificate and prize by Recreation Specialists Lisa Harris and Crystal Alcantar. The winners were: 1st place – Rebecca Almanza (scary clown), 2nd place Evelyn Valdez (Miss Peggy) and 3rd place Jennie Rey (Geisha Girl).
