Community members in need of classes are invited to visit the Grand Terrace Lions Club Community Center this Saturday, Jan. 18.
The California Friends in Sight and the Grand Terrace Lions Club (GTLC) will work together once again to sponsor this free vision screening, made available to Inland Empire residents, with recycled eyeglasses.
Attendees will receive machine eye tests, eye exams by qualified Friends in Sight optometrists, eyeglass prescriptions, glaucoma screenings and free pairs of recycled eyeglasses will be provided. All services are provided free of charge.
The Grand Terrace Lions Club typically recycles over 2,000 pairs of glasses each year.
The vision screening is not meant to replace a comprehensive eye examination and refraction that can be obtained through a doctor’s office. These vision screenings are designed to assess ocular health concerns, and provide a useable pair of recycled eyeglasses until professional service and ophthalmic materials are obtained by each individual.
All ages are welcome to this event.
The free vision screening
will take place this Saturday, from 8 a.m. through 3 p.m. at the Grand Terrace Lions Community Center, located at 22130 Barton Road in Grand Terrace.
Those who attend will be serviced on a first come, first served basis.
