Congratulations to Colton Joint Unified School District Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Ingrid Munsterman, who has been named the ACSA (Association of California School Administrators) Region 12 Human Resources Administrator of the Year! Mrs. Munsterman was honored Monday, Dec. 14 during a virtual award ceremony.
Mrs. Munsterman has been part of the CJUSD family for 39 years. Before being named Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources in 2010, she served in a wide variety of roles for the district. She has taught at the elementary and middle school levels, worked as a resource specialist, and later became Assistant Principal of Crestmore and Grant Elementary Schools, Principal of Grimes Elementary School, and Director of Human Resources.
CJUSD Superintendent Frank Miranda, Ed.D. noted in his nomination that Mrs. Munsterman has done much to support student and staff success as well as to help our community at large.
She has supported the district’s focus on literacy by incorporating literacy-focused questions into the interview process for certificated staff. She also has organized HR Book Clubs for her staff.
Mrs. Munsterman also supports communication and collaboration. For example, she established roundtable discussions for principals to ensure school leaders have a forum to share best practices throughout the district.
She also works to help all employees grow. An example is the annual Classified Boot Camp (held virtually this year) which provides professional development opportunities for classified staff members. In 2019, she brought a Women’s Empowerment Luncheon to the district to mentor and support female leaders. Mrs. Munsterman and her team recognize and support excellence at all levels of the district through the Employee Recognition Award Program and annual Retirement and Longevity program.
CJUSD thanks Mrs. Munsterman for all she has done for our district.
