They invited the Colton Chamber of Commerce and Volunteers abounded for this year's theme, "Wild About Reading". This was the Chamber's 3rd year volunteering for the event. The event was a huge success many volunteer's and some members of The Colton Chamber also participated in the event. A book titled " Bullies" was read to Kindergarten and Third Grade students.

The Colton Chamber of Commerce Volunteered for a Field trip for The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens out in Palm Desert with Paul J Roger's Elementary School Friday March 8, 2024. The Zoo has live animals and paper illuminated lanterns, with dozen of larger than life displays that glow in the park at night. The Zoo has tons of interactive encounters where visitors get to be up close and personal with these giants, like Giraffe Feedings and Rhino Experiences.  Be prepared for long walks. The coordinator had a wonderful time and does like to volunteer for the Community and schools . The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens is home to over 500 animals and represents over 150 species.
