Redlands Firefighters responded to a structure fire in the 1400 block of Clay Street early Tuesday morning, April 30. One person was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Fire crews arrived shortly before 2:30 a.m. to find a detached shed behind a single-family residence fully involved in flame. Firefighters were able to control the blaze to prevent it from spreading to the house and a parked vehicle. It took approximately 20 minutes to extinguish.

Residents of the home were able to safely evacuate the house. One person was treated on scene for a small burn received while trying to extinguish the fire prior to firefighters’ arrival. He declined to be transported to the hospital.

Damage was estimated at $10,000. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
