On August 26, 2017, the Chandi Group held a Grand Opening of their large ARCO Fuel Station at the Colton Hub,  the corner of Valley and Pepper Streets in Colton.  Mayor Richard DeLaRosa said this is the first of several business attractions for our city, including  a future hotel, multiple restaurants, a retail/housing complex and other businesses as opportunities become available.

The event started at 10:30  a.m. with a treat to Mom and Dad with gasoline selling for $1.99 per gallon as the Colton High School Yellow Jacket drum and drill team performed.  A catered noon meal was served for dignitaries and guests with jumpers, slides and pony rides for the children all day for our family friendly city.

Prior to the 2 p.m. ribbon cutting, Mayor Richard DeLaRosa welcomed the visitors and guests. They were also addressed by Representative Eloise Reyes, County Supervisor Jose Gonzales, City Council David Toro, Neli Gutierrez from Colton Chamber of Commerce, and Professor Singh from the Pepperdine University School of Law. With closing remarks by Mr. Chandi, President, Chandi Group USA, Inc., commended our Mayor DeLaRosa and Mayor Pro-tem Toro, the Planning Commission  and staff for their vision, leadership and strong belief in getting  the first phase of this development in place and open to serve our city.
