Elementary School Students Visit Senior Center

School age students from Grand Terrace Elementary and Terrace View Elementary, and teachers Ms. Michelle and Miss Kassy, enjoyed a day of no school at the Senior Center designing crafts.

On Tuesday, Nov. 17 between 9:30 - 10:15 a.m, around 20 students from two elementary schools, Grand Terrace Elementary and Terrace View Elementary, school age children from the City of Grand Terrace Child Care, visited the Grand Terrace Senior Center to color and design their own holiday crafts. The holiday break allowed the students some time to share with others. Teachers Ms. Michelle and Miss Kassy were present to chaperone the activity. The organizers of the event wanted to provide a local experience for the students, and one that would not add additional commuting for the parents. “The women really enjoyed watching the kids make their own crafts,” Assistant Director Shannon Scandura commented. “We would definitely like to do this again.”
