The victim, a black male adult, aged 55, was driving his 1993 Acura westbound on E. Old Ranch Road in Colton Saturday night, just east of Meadow Lane, when his car was struck by a 2010 Toyota Tundra traveling eastbound on E. Old Ranch Road. The driver of the Tundra, identified by police as 34-year-old Raymundo Domingo Lopez, veered into the westbound lane and collided with the Acura, according to police, who responded to the scene around 8:40 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29. The victim was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries, according to Colton police. He was pronounced dead at approximately 10:12 p.m. Lopez was arrested for gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and was booked into the San Bernardino County Jail, police said.
