REDLANDS>> LifeHouse Theater of Redlands will host an evening of fun and music, highlighted by the announcement of its 24th theatrical season during its annual Season Celebration. This free event is open to the public and will take place on Sunday, May 7 beginning at 7:00pm at Trinity Church in Redlands.

“Our annual Season Celebration is always an exciting evening,’” commented LifeHouse Theater President Wayne Scott. “It allows us to celebrate what makes LifeHouse Theater so unique in the Inland Empire while we reflect on some of the highlights of the past year.”

The LifeHouse Theater Scholarship Award winner will also be announced during the Season Celebration. The LifeHouse Theater Scholarship is awarded to graduating high school seniors or college underclassmen who demonstrate a desire to pursue a career in the arts and who have also shown that he or she embrace the values and mission of LifeHouse Theater. Applicants for the award must have participated in at least one LifeHouse Theater production. The LifeHouse Theater Scholarship Award was first presented in 2006 to Colton High School graduate Joshua Lomeli. Lomeli was subsequently admitted to the highly competitive and prestigious UC Berkeley theater program.

“Giving back to the community is important to our organization and to myself as well,” Scott explained. “The scholarship is a small way we can invest in the future of these young people from our community that are a part of our LifeHouse Family.”

The event will also be live-streamed on LifeHouse Theater’s YouTube channel for those that are unable to attend. A link can also be found on the theater’s Facebook page. Season Passes for LifeHouse Theater’s 24th season will go on sale at the conclusion of the event. Those in attendance will be able to purchase them at the event. Those watching the live stream on YouTube can call into the Box Office to purchase their season pass. These Season Passes will be offered at the lowest price of the year but only until midnight on May 7. Two season passes will also be randomly given away to those in attendance at the Season Celebration.

“Without question, this is the best deal we’ve ever offered for our season passes,” commented LifeHouse Theater General Manager Jeff DeWitt. “Those who purchase their passes that evening will get the equivalent value of more than two shows free.”

The evening will conclude with complimentary refreshments where the staff of LifeHouse Theater will be available to answer any questions guests may have. While this is a free event and all are welcome, LifeHouse Theater does encourage those that plan to attend to RSVP at 909-335-3037 by May 5. “We ask folks to RSVP to help us plan out our refreshments and seating, but of course walk-ups are welcome,” explained Scott. LifeHouse Theater’s 24th Annual Season Celebration begins at 7:00pm on Sunday, May 7 at Trinity Church located at 1551 Reservoir Rd. in Redlands.
