COLTON>> Dr. Chuck Kon, of Colton, California, was recently recognized by the Colton City Council for his 36 years of service to the community. Kon began practicing dentistry in 1980, after graduating from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. Dr. Kon also holds a fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry and is known to the community as being the "pain-free" dentist. Kon decided to settle in Colton because it felt like a "tight-knit" and friendly community. Over the past 36 years, the Colton community has become like a family to Dr. Kon. He spends his time as the supervising dentist at Summit College, and enjoys mentoring people interested in pursuing a career in the dental field. In 2014, Dr. Kon's daughter, Dr. Christina Kon, joined the practice. A graduate of the USC School of Dentistry, Christina said she is "grateful to work in a family practice that makes patient comfort a priority." It also makes her happy to be able to see that many of her young patients have parents who have been seeing her father since they were small. Dr. Kon and Dr. Christina will continue providing quality dental care to the Colton community and neighboring cities. Dr. Kon’s office is located across from the downtown post office at the corner of 7th and H street. More information about his office can be found at www.lifetimesmile.com.
