Recently, the Colton Hampton Inn & Suites employed a new General Manager (GM), Jon Patty. Born and raised in Irvine, Patty is a self-proclaimed “Southern-California-kind-of-guy.” In his youth, he was involved in playing many different sports and shared that his favorite sport was basketball and golf. In his professional life, he spent 10 years working at the Marriott and was briefly the GM of a fine-dining steakhouse. He said that he returned to working in the hotel industry because the business is more predictable and consistent than the restaurant industry. Patty shared that he was first promoted to the position of GM at the young age of 26. He hopes to bring a younger management style to this new appointment. He also shared that he was looking forward to continuing the appreciation of the staff that the owners have exercised for the past four years. He hopes to use all of his experience to continue to bring in revenue for the City of Colton through continued loyalty to employees.
