Colton Community Services Hosts Movies in the Park Series

COLTON >> With bright lights and movie nights, Colton Community Services offers families and friends to attend free movie nights in various parks around the city. The next installment of the Movies in the Park series will be held July 15 at Fleming Park and will feature the children's animated adventure movie, "Inside Out." In the animated movie, a young girl named Riley is uprooted from her Midwest life and moved to San Francisco. Learning to navigate a new city, house and school, her emotions - Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness - conflict. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to watch the movie starting at 8:15 p.m. A limited snack bar will be offered and vendors from the city will be present. Fleming Park is located at 525 N. La Cadena Dr. in Colton. The next movie is the series will include "The Good Dinosaur" July 22 at Dauer Park and will conclude with "Aladdin" July 29 at Fleming Park. Colton Community Services encourages attendees to arrive early to get a good spot and to connect on social media. By posting a picture of the event on the City's Facebook page and using #MITP2016, those in attendance have the chance to win a prize at the end of every movie.
