COLTON>> Thirty Five year Veteran, Jack E. Morenberg of the Colton Police Department recently passed away. The City is working with the family on holding a formal Memorial Service to honor his years of service.
The memorial will take place at Colton First Assembly of God Church, located at 450 W. Citrus Avenue, on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 2:00 PM.
A military salute will follow the memorial service, as well as a motorcycle run that will start at Freedom Park and end at Liam's Pub.
Detective Morenberg dedicated his professional career to law enforcement, which spanned over 35 years with the Colton Police Department, as follows:
01-05-1982: Reserve Officer
08-08-1987: Police Officer
04-24-1991: Detective
01-24-2017 Retirement Date
Detective Morenberg honorably served in two branches of the United States Military: U.S. Army & U.S. Navy.
