Deputies Arrest Colton Man for Lewd Acts with a Minor

COLTON>> On Aug. 27, at about 11 p.m., deputies from the Sheriff’s Central Station were contacted by Colton Police officers reporting they located an underage victim who claimed to be a victim of a sex crime. Through investigation, officers learned the crime occurred on the 300 block of Kelly Lane, an unincorporated area of Colton. The unincorporated area receives law enforcement services from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. Deputies responded and met with the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital for examination. Sheriff's detectives were called to assist with the investigation. On Aug. 28, at approximately 8:30 a.m., a San Bernardino County Superior Court Judge approved a search warrant for the suspected crime location and an arrest warrant for 27-year-old Kenia Hernandez of Colton. At approximately 9:30 a.m., deputies from the Central Station served the search warrant and the suspect was taken into custody. Hernandez was booked into San Bernardino County Jail, Central Detention Center for suspicion of violating California Penal Code 288(c)(1) - Lewd Acts with a Minor and other related charges.
