Grand View Baptist Church and Their Positive Leadership

Grand Terrace>>A leadership position as a church member may become overwhelming at times, having to direct others in a path of positivity and enlightenment. For Pastor Matthew Pope, that moment was given on October 2, 2016. He was given the Pastoral role, and has outreached to others to learn of God. With the support of his wife, Victoria, both have enabled to bring others in unity and to bring, what is a “family” to Grand View Baptist, with hopes of involving others to learn about their Savior.  

“When Matthew was blessed with being given the pastoral role at Grand View Baptist, it was such a happy time in our lives”, said Mrs. Pope. “We knew it was a blessing from God”.

Matthew and Victoria are from the High Desert, and be-wedded in August of 2015. At the time they lived in Victorville and would travel to Grand View Baptist. They recently moved to Grand Terrace City to be closer to their church.

They consider their church goers “family”, and choose to have a family oriented environment that will allow others to feel welcomed into their church. Their Sunday school program is offered to the younger crowd, and is directed by Irene Sell. They intend to expand their children’s program in the future, by inviting others to attend their church with their families.

“That’s a big reason for why we are are having our Labor Day celebration. We want to reach out to the community of Grand Terrace and invite families to come to our church,” says Mrs. Pope. “We want to share Gods love with the world around us and bring people to Jesus.”

Grand View Baptist will be hosting their Labor Day celebration, on September 2 at the church location of 22755 Vista Grande Way in Grand Terrace. The event will take place from 12 pm to 4 pm. The church will be serving hot dogs and snow cones, and will feature a bounce house and water slide for the children.

Outside of being a part of their church, they enjoy visiting Disneyland and enjoying the scenic nature views of Big Bear. They are positive people who enjoy giving others the opportunity to experience the wonderful joys of believing in Christ. They credit their family support and God for the well-established opportunities.

“God is so faithful and He has provided for us in so many ways. God has blessed us in our marriage and we are very privileged to be close to both of our parents. We would be nowhere without our families.” Shared Mrs Pope.
