COLTON>> The community is invited to attend an Old Fashion Christmas event at the Colton Public Library on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. The event will feature a visit from Santa Claus, Christmas carolers, a young pianist who will perform Christmas music and some preschoolers from the community will sing carols. Two library board members including Pat Chavez and Pauline Lopez will read the classic “The Night Before Christmas” to those in attendance. Lisa Sandoval, head of the outreach services, said there will also be snacks, presents for children and a free photo opportunity with Santa. “(We want to) bring old fashion Christmas back to Colton,” she said “We hope everyone come to the event and has a merry Christmas.” The event is free and open to the public. The library is located at 656 North 9th Street in Colton, across from City Hall. The main library offers a large collection of materials with nearly 70,000 items, free wireless internet and computer access to library patrons.
