COLTON>> On November 28, 2016, at approximately 5:39 p.m., Colton Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Hunts Lane and Cooley Lane in reference to a multi vehicle collision. One of the vehicles was a brown 2013 Honda CRV and the other was a 1996 Triumph Motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was traveling southbound on Hunts Lane when it collided with the Honda CRV which was making a left hand turn to go West on Cooley Lane. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to LLUMC, where he was listed in critical condition and later that evening succumbed to his injuries. The Colton Police Departments Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is investigating the collision. At this time there is no reason to suspect any drugs or alcohols were involved, however the cause of the collision is still under investigation. The driver’s name is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.
