Police Respond to Traffic Collision

COLTON>> On Friday, April 21, the Rialto Police Department received a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision on the Riverside Avenue bridge, south of the Colton city limits. The driver of a tractor trailer tanker reported that he collided with an unknown object while traveling southbound on Riverside Avenue. Rialto Police determined that the collision occurred in the city of Colton. Colton Police Officers arrived on scene and located a deceased subject in the Santa Ana River area. The subject had injuries consistent with being involved in the traffic collision. The Colton Police Department MAIT Team responded to the location to conduct the investigation. At the time of this report, the victim has not been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
