Last week members of the Citizens for Colton First distributed Christmas food baskets to those in need in Colton.
This year Colton First member Donna Lawrence compiled 20 large food baskets with the help of donations of food and funds given by the group's members and those who visited Colton First meetings throughout the year. On Dec. 18, the baskets, distributed annually, were delivered to a few Colton schools and families known by Colton First members to be in need of help.
The baskets were delivered by members of the group who were also joined by Colton Council Members Frank Navarro and Dr. Luis Gonzalez.
