Kids That Code recently launched their second annual Inspiration Scholarship Program to benefit elementary and middle school students in the Inland Empire. Kids That Code has provided over $8,000 in scholarships for young students to attend their courses on computer programming, game development, mobile applications, web design, and much more. “My son, Logan, inspired me to start Kids That Code while I was a student at Cal State San Bernardino. He is the reason why we are able to help so many children in the Inland Empire,” said Director Pat Person. “That’s why we are giving the parents an opportunity to tell us how their children have inspired them.” Parent must fill out an online form on the company’s website and write a short statement explaining how their child is a source of inspiration. A limited amount of free scholarships will be given so children may attend one of the technology focused courses the company offers. The deadline to submit an application is Sept. 27. Information about the scholarship can be found at the company’s website at KidsThatCode.org. Kids That Code is an education company created by a student team from Cal State San Bernardino. Their goal is to inspire children to pursue a career in technology. The company offers a variety of technology related courses for elementary and middle school children. Kids That Code is a member of the Catalyst Business Accelerator at the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship in San Bernardino.
