City Council Recognizes House of Eggs Café for Business Success

At the recent Council Meeting Dec 16, Council Member Dr.G (Dr. Luis S. González) presented Juan Garcia, Cesar Garcia and Joanna Orosco, co-owners and manager respectively, of House of Eggs Café with a Business Focus Recognition Award for their successful business in the City of Colton. Located at 182 East Valley Blvd, this family business is in the downtown area at the SW corner of Ninth Street and Valley.

As many already know, this restaurant is a popular breakfast place, and they have built a nice reputation based on their “specialty” breakfast offerings and reasonable prices, as well as their friendly and efficient customer service.

This restaurant establishment originally opened its doors as House of Eggs on January 13, 2016 by then owner Salvador Nieves. Salvador had a dream of opening an authentic breakfast place for the benefit of residents and visitors to the City of Colton. As a result, he created just the right Mexican-American cuisine which over the years has grown into a top-choice breakfast location. Under the new ownership, the restaurant now has a new expanded menu, an upgraded interior décor and has modernized the name to House of Eggs Café. This downtown hot-spot is simply a great place to have breakfast, and lunch as well, with their new  convenient hours 7:00am-2:00pm.

In terms of the menu, the specialty breakfast choices are still the driving force of their business. Such dishes as Chorizo con Huevos, and Huevos a la Mexicana are popular breakfast favorites, while traditional American breakfast offerings, such as pancakes and omelets, balance out the choices to satisfy just about every taste preference. Let’s not forget the chile, the tortillas and of course the fresh coffee, which is always available and served with a smile.

The new owners, who both attended the Council meeting, purchased the business June 6, 2022 and have done a wonderful job in growing their business and continuing to provide the best in quality of food and customer service. The experience is always enjoyable and comfortable, and many customers come repeatedly time and time again. If you drive by, you can see dozens of cars parked in the lot, and a long line of people waiting to be seated. You might want to get there early if you’re short on time, but no matter what, the wait is well worth the delicious food, comfortable atmosphere, and great customer service.

The owners Juan and Cesar, their crew of 12, are to be congratulated for their success as a local specialty breakfast restaurant. This year, they celebrate three years of ownership, and continue to carry on the proud tradition of delicious food and fine customer service for all of us to enjoy. We truly hope that they will continue their successful business for years to come. The Colton City Council also wanted to recognize them for their hard work, great customer service, and excellent reputation; and for making a valuable contribution to our community and to our local economy.
