City Council Recognizes Pro Nails As Successful Colton Business

At the recent Council Meeting July 16, Council Member Dr.G (Dr. Luis S. González) presented Tony Trieu and Helen Huynh , owners of Pro Nails, with a  “Business Focus” Recognition Award for their successful business operation in the City of Colton.  This long-established company opened in 2004, and has been a mainstay of the Colton business community for 20 years.

Born in Vietnam, Mr. Tony came to the United States in 1992 when he was 20 years old. He lived in San Bernardino for 4 years, while working for a sewing contractor commuting to El Monte.  He then moved to Colton in 1996 and started to consider owning his own business someday.  In 2004, he returned to Vietnam in 2004 just to marry his childhood sweetheart, Helen, and together they made Colton their home. The dream of having their own business was still on his mind, and later that year, Tony and Helen found a great business location right in the heart of downtown Colton. The address is 282 N La Cadena and it’s located in the small retail strip mall next to Stater Bros. where they still operate their business.

Since opening their shop, Tony and Helen not only perfected their expert nail services, but have increased their customer base well into the hundreds. According to Tony, many customers have been supporting their business since the beginning when they first opened. Their quality nail care services and excellent customer relations, have made this shop a popular “go-to“ place for professional nail care. Their business is also client friendly in that it has extended hours to 7:00pm for their working clients.

The shop has many nail care supplies on hand which are colorfully displayed throughout the shop. Their services are professional quality and include: manicures, pedicures, nail art, and acrylic nails, in addition to eyebrow and whole-face waxing. No appointment is necessary so walking-in is the quickest and best way to get the service you need. Someone is always available to take care of your nail care needs.

Tony, Helen and their daughters are to be congratulated for their success as a local family-operated business in Colton for 20 years. We truly hope that they will continue their successful business for years to come, and we want to recognize them for their hard work, great customer service, and excellent reputation; and for making a valuable contribution to our community and to our local economy.
