SBVC Women’s Volleyball Fights Hard in Game Against Panthers, 3-1

SBVC (4-11; 1-2) looked to lead in their Foothill Conference record, but even with the crowd being noisy and the team playing hard on Wednesday Oct. 10, it was a tough contest falling to the Rancho Cucamonga Chaffey Panthers (12-10; 2-1), 25-23, 21-25, 25-19 and 25-16. Freshman setter Nayeli Hernandez (San Bernardino Aquinas) led the team with 29 assists and 8 digs and freshman libero Valerie Navarrete (Fontana A.B. Miller) led the team with 25 digs and a service ace. Freshman outside hitter Roslynn Hamilton (Moreno Valley Vista del Lago) had 7 kills, 3 assists and 23 digs and freshman outside hitter Stephanie Gilbert (Moreno Valley Vista Del Lago) had 7 kills, 22 digs and 3 service aces. Freshman middle blocker Ariana Cole (Fontana Azariel Blanchard Miller) led the team with 3 service aces, 9 kills and 7 digs and sophomore middle blocker Yamiq Myles (Moreno Valley Vista del Lago) had 4 kills, 1 solo block and 4 block assists.
