City Presents Two Free Events in October and November

The City of Colton is showcasing two free events in the months of October and November for the residents.  The first event will be a Halloween Festival to be held on Tuesday, October 31 between the hours of 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Fleming Park.  There will be food vendors, games, crafts, entertainment and a costume contest; costume contest times will be divided between the different ages of the participants as follows: 

5:45 p.m.—Infants-2, 6:05 p.m.---Ages 3-5, 6:25 p.m.---Ages 6-8, 6:45 p.m.---Ages 9-11, 7:05 p.m.---Ages 12-15, 7:25 p.m.---Best Group, 7:45 p.m.---Furry Friends

Prospective participants can visit the Costume Contest Booth by the stage for contest details.

The second event will take place on Veterans Day, Saturday November 11 with a 8:00 a.m. start time at Veterans Park, 292 East O Street with a Prayer Ceremony.  A parade honoring veterans will be starting North on La Cadena Drive/beginning at O Street and ending at E Street.  The Veterans Day Ceremony will follow the parade at Fleming Park with a reception and veteran autographs being given at the Colton Women’s Club, 295 N. 7th Street at 12:00 p.m.  Two open houses will be held from 2:00-9:00 p.m. at the American Legion, Post 155 (1401 Veterans Way), and Veterans of Foreign Wars, (1789 N. 8th Street).  Colton Council Member Dr. G can be contacted at 909-213-3730 or LSG85@aol.com for more information.
