Colton>>On July 18,2017, officers from the San Bernardino Police Department Special Enforcement Team (SET) organized a citywide gang sweep. Colton and Rialto Police Department gang teams assisted in the sweep, as well as the Victorville Sheriff's Department gang team along with San Bernardino County Probation.

Officers were initially briefed on the current gang injunctions and active areas of specific gang violence based on recent crime statistics. During the enforcement, officers were involved in several foot pursuits and a vehicle pursuit. The SET also assisted probation in locating and arresting a suspect on probation with an active no bail warrant who had a firearm in his possession. Every arrestee was booked and lodged into a jail facility, with a majority of the arrestees being documented gang members.

In total, there were 21 arrests made, resulting in the confiscation of marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, and six guns. There were several subjects with no bail warrants located and arrested. Several citations were given out and there were five vehicles towed.
