COLTON>> Seeds of Hope Outreach partnered with Leno’s Rico Taco in Colton on Saturday, Dec. 17 to bring Christmas to those in needs. The Foundation is a resource center that helps working families that struggle economically. So this Christmas season, the Seed of Hope Outreach Foundation hosted their “Santa’s Shop Giveaway” in order to allow working families who landed on a hard time this Christmas season to still get into the Christmas spirit. Parents were able to make appointments with the organization to come down to Leno’s Rico Taco and select toys for their children for Christmas presents. “We give the parents the opportunity to shop for their children, while also keeping the children busy while their parents shop,” said Gloria Gaona, Director of Seeds of Hope Outreach. While parents shop for presents for their children, the Seeds of Hope foundation provides many activities for the children to enjoy including face painting, a chance to meet Santa and the famous Batmobile. While the kids are enjoying a day full of fun, parents select the toys and then can get their presents wrapped before taking them home. In total, the Seed of Hope Outreach foundation was able to give 400 toys away to kids of all ages, along with stockings and snacks this year. “I couldn’t do it without all of our volunteers and people who donated and supported this organization,” Gaona said. “It really takes a village, and I’m happy that the community came together."
