The Board of Four-D College recently announced that Linda L. Smith will retire as Chief Executive Officer and that Aisha Thompson will succeed her. In this role, Thompson will be responsible for the overall business strategy and direction of Four-D College. Thompson brings more than 17 years of relevant industry experience to her new role and previously served as Executive Director of Friends of Four-D College, the non-profit arm of Four-D College, whose purpose is to provide educational outreach and community support services. She also assumed the role of Director of Operations of Four-D College, overseeing program and departmental directors and annual reports. In May of 2008 she was promoted to Vice President of Business Development and Operations at Four-D. In making the announcement Vice President, Ernell Smith acknowledged the outstanding contribution Linda L. Smith has made to the growth of Four-D College. Smith established Four-D College as a leading educational career focus provider, opened several new programs and a new campus. The Board has decided that Aisha is the right person to lead Four-D College in a changing global environment” said Mr. Smith. Smith shared that her decision to retire as CEO was difficult. “I've been very fortunate to lead one of the best colleges and deciding the right time to retire was never going to be easy, however, after almost twenty years with Four-D College as CEO, I believe now is the right time to pass the leadership baton, thus I welcome Aisha's experience and leadership into this new role. I believe her results-oriented approach and ability to think strategically will be vital for the continued growth of the organization and ensuring the future of Four-D College. I look forward to continuing to work with Aisha in her new role,” shared Smith. "It's an exciting time to be appointed to this new role, with the company's goal to be an innovator in our industry and our continued efforts in providing first class healthcare programs to our community. I look forward to helping Four-D College advance the outstanding track record that that has been established in the last 20 years serving our community,” shared Thompson. Thompson received her Masters of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies, and a Pre-Credential Option at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. Although her fondness for teaching was great, Thompson decided to continue her career with Four-D College.
