Grand Terrace Titans Football Gets all Three Wins

It was a proud week to be a Titan as all three Grand Terrace High School (GTHS) football teams, Freshman, Junior Varsity (JV), and Varsity took home the victory for this non-conference game, beating the Arlington High School Lions this past week. The Freshman and JV teams played against each other on Thursday, Oct. 1, and performed exceptionally well. The Freshman Titans' hard work was shown as they took home the win, beating Arlington 41 - 0. The JV team also took home the win, beating the Lions with a final score of 33 - 0. The younger squads kicked off their battles against the Lions on a positive note that forced every player on the Varsity team to go into Friday night's game with their heads held high. At about 7 p.m. Friday evening, Oct. 2, Grand Terrace community members, former Titans, and fans of all ages piled into the stadium. As the sun set and the smell of buttery popcorn made its way through the field, the Varsity GT Titans went head-to-head with the Arlington Lions. The stadium was also filled with the color pink for their "Pink Night" in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Titans' took the field running through the human-made tunnel, ripping through a pink banner that read "Titan Tough" for Breast Cancer Awareness. The dedicated fans cheered throughout the night and left the stadium with smiles on their faces as their Titans successfully beat the Lions with a final score of 53 - 22. The GT Titans' have a current non-league standing of 2-3. On Friday, Oct. 9, the Titans battle in a league game at home against the Summit Skyhawks.
