Got curb appeal? Love keeping your home looking its best?

The Beautify MoVal at Home Award is a quarterly recognition program that celebrates Moreno Valley residents who take pride in maintaining and beautifying their homes. Whether it's a perfectly manicured lawn, a fresh coat of paint, or thoughtful details that make a property stand out, this program shines a spotlight on the homes that help make Moreno Valley a great place to live.

Each quarter, outstanding residential properties from across the City are recognized for their contribution to neighborhood beautification, community pride, and overall quality of life. Award recipients receive gift cards and are formally recognized at a City Council meeting.

To be considered for the Beautify MoVal at Home Award, applicants must satisfy all of the following eligibility requirements:

  • The property must be located within the municipal boundaries of the City of Moreno Valley.
  • The property must be a single-family residential dwelling.
  • The property must be visible from the public right of way.
  • The property must be in Pride Ready condition at the time of application and evaluation.
  • The applicant may be either the property owner or a tenant.
  • The applicant must provide documentation verifying residency at the subject property.

Program Structure

  1. 1The Beautify MoVal at Home Award is administered every quarter.
  2. 2Four award recipients are selected each quarter — one representing each City Council district.
  3. 3One of the four district recipients is designated as the Citywide award recipient for that quarter.
  4. 4The Citywide award recipient receives a $100 home improvement gift card. Each district recipient receives a $50 home improvement gift card.
  5. 5Award recipients may be the property owner or tenant responsible for ongoing maintenance.
  6. 6Recipients are formally recognized at a regularly scheduled City Council meeting and through City-sponsored outreach.
  7. 7Properties are eligible to receive the award only once.
  8. 8Recipients must consent to the City photographing the property for promotional and outreach purposes.
  9. 9Selection determinations are final and are not subject to appeal. Applicants who are not selected may apply for future award cycles. Program guidelines, timelines, and eligibility criteria are subject to change.
