The Grand Terrace Blue Mountain Festival was bursting with excitement this year, as residents gathered to celebrate community spirit and camaraderie. A standout moment of the festival was the vibrant parade, where Assemblywoman Leticia Castillo despite a recent injury & surgery coming up , she graced the event with her presence, riding in style alongside Barney Barnett in his stunning 1957 Chevy Bel Air.

 

As the parade kicked off, a wave of enthusiasm swept through the crowd. Children waved their handmade signs, and families lined the streets, eagerly awaiting the arrival of their beloved Assemblywoman. The anticipation reached its peak when they spotted the gleaming Bel Air, an iconic car radiating charm and elegance, gliding through the streets. Its polished body reflected the sunny skies, drawing gasps of admiration from onlookers both young and old.

 

Leticia Castillo, known for her commitment to the community and in enhancing the lives of residents, waved warmly to the crowd. Her smile lit up the area, showcasing her connection to the people she serves. Many were thrilled to see her in person, and cheers erupted as she acknowledged the crowd, embodying the spirit of community support and unity that defines Grand Terrace.

 

Barney Barnett, a local transportation enthusiast, took great pride in driving his vintage Chevy, which served not only as a vehicle but as a symbol of nostalgia and pride for the community. Its classic lines and retro flair complemented the festive atmosphere perfectly. The car's vibrant color and immaculate finish made it a showstopper, enchanting everyone who laid eyes on it.

 

The enthusiastic response from the crowd demonstrated the close bond between the residents of Grand Terrace and their representatives. Parents lifted their children onto their shoulders for a better view; faces lit up with excitement as they cheered for Castillo, reaffirming the importance of having supportive leadership in the community. 

 

This year’s Blue Mountain Festival was more than just a parade; it was a celebration of connection, where residents came together to share their pride in the community and the people who represent them. Assemblywoman Castillo’s participation highlighted her dedication to engaging with constituents and being visible in the heart of Grand Terrace. 

 

As the parade rolled on, the joy and excitement were palpable, further reinforcing the sense of belonging and advocacy that is the cornerstone of Grand Terrace.
