A beloved Broadway musical, a cherished Christmas classic, a popular fairy tale, two returning favorites, a new biblical musical, a suspenseful drama and an off-broadway musical will headline the new 30th anniversary season at LifeHouse Theater.

“We are so pleased to offer a diverse selection of family entertainment sure to inspire and uplift audiences of all ages,” commented LifeHouse Theater President, Wayne R. Scott. “We remain committed to providing fun, high-quality theater experiences that are affordable for the thousands of families visiting LifeHouse.

“LifeHouse owes a great debt to our supportive guests, and we appreciate everyone’s encouragement during challenging times,” observes Scott. “Our upcoming season is a celebration of community and thankfulness for God’s providence. As a theater company, we are also grateful for the many volunteers who have sustained LifeHouse through thirty seasons.”

The 30th season will be launched with the funny favorite fairy tale “Cinderella” (September 30 – November 5, 2023). Audiences will journey to a fantasy kingdom “once upon a time” in the world’s best-known fairy tale. Can an angelic Godmother help Cinderella find true love? This hilarious classic features a sparkling score and fun surprises that will delight all ages.

LifeHouse celebrates the holidays with “Scrooge!” (November 18 – December 23, 2023). Dickens’ classic “A Christmas Carol” comes to life in this powerful family production enjoyed by thousands throughout Southern California. Music, comedy, and the powerful redemption of Ebenezer Scrooge combine with the sights and sounds of the season for an unforgettable presentation of the true Christmas Spirit.

The New Year brings the return of a long-requested drama, “The Hiding Place” (January 6 – February 4, 2024). The horror of the holocaust provides the unlikely backdrop for a powerful true story of faith, hope, rescue, and redemption. Guests will witness the amazing experiences of Corrie ten Boom as recounted in this remarkable dramatic biography.

Next, is a world-premiere biblical musical, “The Genesis Story” (February 17 - March 24, 2024). The incredible creation story comes to life as told by Seth, son of Adam and Eve. Despite angelic dissension and human fault and frailty, God declares victory over anything seeking to thwart His divine plan to redeem Man and His original creation. Though the account is at times bittersweet, the loving Creator provides a happy ending to an unbelievable saga of His majestic power and will.

An award-winning Broadway favorite comes to LifeHouse with “Fiddler on the Roof” (April 6 – May 12, 2024). Winner of nine Tony Awards, “Fiddler on the Roof” has touched audiences worldwide with its humor, warmth, and honesty. This tale of Tevye the Dairyman and his family’s struggles in a changing Russia is a true musical theatre tradition.

Next, comes the heartwarming favorite “Anne of Green Gables” (May 25 - June 30, 2024). The irresistibly imaginative orphan Anne Shirley will steal everyone’s heart as she discovers love, faith, and friendship. One of LifeHouse Theater’s most popular and acclaimed musicals returns to amuse and inspire audiences of all ages.

A musical epic of romance and intrigue follows with Wayne Scott’s “Phantom of the Opera” (July 13 – August 11, 2024). The tumultuous tale of the mysterious Phantom comes to LifeHouse Theater in this smash hit original musical. Witness young Christine’s rise to fame in the opera world, thanks to the schemes of the ominous Phantom. But will his efforts win her heart? Sinister plots abound amidst comedic moments and heartbreaking mystery.

The season concludes with the off-broadway musical “Little House on the Prairie: The Musical” (August 24 – September 29, 2024). This heartwarming musical follows the Ingalls’ journey westward and their struggles with the hardships of winter blizzards and prairie fires as well as rejoicing in the settlement of land and town. Throughout it all, we witness Laura as she grows from a wild child who loves to run free into a woman who embraces the responsibilities of her own future while struggling to remain true to herself.

LifeHouse Theater’s LifeTales series of musical biographies for Inland Empire students will continue with “General George Washington” (February 20 - 23, 2024). Performance times for the one-hour productions are 9:15 and 11:00 AM each morning. All seats for the LifeTales series are $10. Teachers and chaperones will receive a complimentary curriculum guide for the productions, which typically play to over 2,000 area students.

Also returning for the 30th Season will be the series of Sunday Night Specials to complement the regular season productions. These events are designed to provide audiences with unique theatrical experiences and will be presented on select Sunday evenings at 7:00 PM. LifeHouse Theater has three specials currently scheduled including “Cinderella: Villains Takeover” (October 27 - 29, 2023), “A Christmas Song In My Heart” (December 10 & 17, 2023), and the original “A Song In My Heart” (April 14, 2024). Additional Sunday Night Specials will be announced in the coming months.
