The spirit of community and gratitude was alive and well this weekend in Grand Terrace as families, neighbors, and local leaders gathered for the annual National Night Out—a cherished event that celebrates unity, safety, and the partnerships that make our neighborhoods strong.

Among the many highlights of the evening was a special moment of recognition from the Office of senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh, whose representative arrived on-site to present a prestigious Certificate of Recognition to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department – Central Station.

The award was a heartfelt gesture to commend the department for not only organizing and hosting such a successful National Night Out for the residents of Grand Terrace, but also for their ongoing excellence in service, protection, and community engagement. From patrol officers to community outreach leaders, the Central Station team has consistently demonstrated what it means to be outstanding stewards of safety and trust.

“We are proud to recognize the Central Station not only for tonight’s event, but for their day-to-day commitment to making our neighborhoods safer and stronger,” the senate representative shared during the presentation. “Their work does not go unnoticed—and it is deeply appreciated by the community and our office alike.”

National Night Out, which takes place annually across the country, is designed to foster better relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. In Grand Terrace, the event was filled with family-friendly activities, food, music, and opportunities for residents to meet their local deputies in a relaxed and celebratory atmosphere.

This year’s gathering went above and beyond expectations, thanks in large part to the careful planning and dedicated presence of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Central Station. Their effort not only made the night enjoyable but reinforced the kind of trust and collaboration that forms the foundation of a safe, vibrant city.

As the sun set over Grand Terrace, the applause rang out for those who wear the badge with honor and lead with integrity.

To the Central Station officers—thank you for your service, your protection, and your unwavering support of the people of Grand Terrace. This recognition is more than a certificate; it’s a symbol of our community’s heartfelt appreciation.
