Christopher Michael Lemos is 16 years old and currently a Junior at Redlands High School. An outstanding student athlete, Christopher maintains an impressive 3.6 Grade Point Average while balancing the demands of academics, athletics, and his commitment to becoming the best he can be both on and off the field.

Christopher began playing football at the age of seven, developing his skills through Yucaipa and Redlands JAAFC. His dedication and years of experience have brought him to the Varsity football team at Redlands High School, where he currently plays Quarterback.

In his most recent game against Fontana High School, Christopher recorded 107 passing yards and one passing touchdown on 11 completions, all while playing just two quarters. His performance reflected not only his individual talent but also the preparation and hard work he and his teammates put in throughout the week. Their commitment to practicing together and being prepared on game day continues to build the foundation for success.

When asked who motivates him to keep pushing toward his goals, Christopher proudly credited his parents, stating, “Nothing I achieved can’t be credited to them. They are amazing.” His words reflect the appreciation he has for the people who have supported him throughout his journey.

Looking ahead, Christopher hopes to continue playing football at the collegiate level and eventually join the United States Marine Corps. His ambitions demonstrate a desire to challenge himself, serve others, and pursue opportunities beyond high school.

A quote Christopher would like to share is, “Your biggest obstacle is yourself.” A powerful reminder that sometimes the greatest challenges we face are the ones we must overcome within ourselves.

Christopher would also like to give a special shout out to his teammates and family, sharing a simple but heartfelt message: “Love y’all!”

We would like to wish Christopher continued success in football, academics, and all his future endeavors. With his dedication, determination, and the support of those around him, the possibilities ahead are endless. The best is yet to come!

As a special celebration of Christopher’s accomplishments, he was presented with an Athlete of the Week patch for his letterman jacket. Sponsored by TME Photography and Harley’s, the patch represents more than a moment of recognition. It is a keepsake honoring the commitment, preparation, and passion Christopher has demonstrated throughout his athletic journey. May it always remind him of this chapter in his football career and the people who have supported and encouraged him along the way.

Congratulations, Christopher! Keep working, keep believing, and keep chasing those goals. Your journey is just getting started!

A city is often judged by what residents experience every day: the condition of its streets, the reliability of public services, the availability of recreational programs and the ease of obtaining information from local government. Behind those everyday experiences are departments and employees whose work rarely attracts national attention.
