As temperatures rise across Moreno Valley, conserving water remains an important part of caring for the community and its resources.

Residents can reduce unnecessary water use through everyday practices such as checking irrigation systems for leaks, avoiding overwatering, and choosing landscaping suited to Southern California’s dry climate. Water-efficient habits can be particularly important during the summer, when outdoor water demand typically increases.

Moreno Valley’s long-term planning also recognizes water efficiency as an important part of responsible growth and environmental sustainability. The city has incorporated conservation measures into planning and development efforts as Moreno Valley continues expanding.

For individual households, conservation does not have to require major changes. Paying attention to sprinklers, repairing leaks quickly, and reducing unnecessary outdoor watering can collectively make a difference.

As Moreno Valley grows, responsible water use can help residents protect an essential resource while maintaining attractive neighborhoods and landscaping. Small changes made across thousands of households can add up to a significant community-wide impact.
