The upcoming General Election will hold its last voting date on November 8, 2022. For the city of Colton, there are two candidates running for Council Member- District 2, one is Kelly J Chastain.

Here is their statement:

Kelly J Chastain

Bookkeeper

"In today's challenging economy we need a council that can work together and be focused on looking for ways to cut spending, improve services and bring in revenues to make sure we support all our city services we count on.

My past accomplishments for Colton:

• Crime decreased by 10%

• $68 million in improvements in traffic relief, Laurel Street

underpass and Quiet Zone with the Colton Crossings railroad

project.

• Veteran's Park renovations/baseball fields

• Teen Center at Caesar Chavez Park and Colton Bike Path.

I believe with my past experience I can bring real solutions to the problems that face the city today. I again am ready to pull up my sleeves, put the people before politics and do the hard work for the citizens of Colton. I will make it my priority to protect Colton residents' hard earned taxpayer dollars; support public safety to keep our families and neighborhoods safe; get us back on track to clean and reliable water/electric; work hard to attract more businesses to create jobs, and increase revenue to support city services for our residents.

I would be honored to have your support/vote this election."
