Colton Chamber Host Senator Connie Leyva

Recently, Colton Chamber of Commerce invited Senator Connie Leyva to speak at their October Networking Meeting. Senator Leyva provided a legislative update as well as having a productive discussion regarding ideas and concerns affecting the local business community. Local residents, business owners and chamber members alike were able to become informed about current bills in legislature, bills that had not been signed, and those that were in process moving through the senate. Senator Leyva opened the meeting with a short biography, connecting herself to the city as she resided in the community as a child. She also spoke about her firm believes that California families benefit most when the community invests in and help to strengthen small businesses and other job drivers that create good paying jobs in our local communities.

Reelected to represent the 20th State Senate District in 2018, Senator Connie M. Leyva is serving her second term in the California State Senate. The district includes the cities and communities of Bloomington, Chino, Colton, Fontana, Grand Terrace, Montclair, Muscoy, Ontario, Pomona, Rialto and San Bernardino.

The goal of Colton Chamber of Commerce is to be a resource for the residents of Colton and to provide the services needed to be successful. The Board of Directors meets monthly, on the 2nd Thursday of the month for monthly board meeting. The networking meeting is held on the first Tuesday of every month at 9am.
