Council Member Isaac Suchil will run for the New District #3 in 2022

By Isaac Suchil
Colton Council Member
05/18/2021 at 05:17 PM

Over the past few years, he has served as council Member for District 6. Now with the new District 3 in 2022 he will have an opportunity to serve our south Colton residents where he grew up on M St. & L St. and knows what it is to truly grow up in south Colton.

He plans to bring new ideas and businesses to our South Colton Area, and also continue to service the residents of La Loma Hills & Cooley Ranch area.

His record of accomplishments for District #6:

  1. He brought better lighting to our neighborhood in La Loma Hills/
  2. He moved the approval of signalization to South La Cadena Ave to La Loma Ave.
  3. He started to beautify our medians with drought tolerant vegetation on Mt Vernon Ave.
  4. He found a business that wanted to buy our old vacant K-mart building which was vacant for over 10 years, now Richardson’s RV Center occupies that location which brings in much needed tax revenue to our general fund.
  5. He found a buyer that wanted to purchase an old restaurant on Santo Antonio/ Mt Vernon, and now a 76-gas station that brings additional tax revenue to our general fund.
  6. With the assistance of UP Railroad, he has started the progress on removing an old outdated and unsafe bridge on Barton Road. (the black metal bridge)
  7. He was successful along with city staff on relocating a trucking company on Barton Rd. to Agua Mansa Rd, and is working with the new owner to make sure our residents are not impacted by any new truck traffic.
  8. He brought a passive park and memorial dog park to our south side and is working on bringing more parks to the district.
  9. He worked with Colton Fire to establish La Loma Hills as high Fire District, and relocated fireworks booths from within that high fire district to keep our residents safe from potential fires.

These were just a few of Council Members Suchil’s accomplishments, and when elected to District 3 he plans to revitalize our South Colton Business District as he did in the Cooley Ranch Business District.

Council Member Suchil will soon be reaching out to the New District 3 residents for suggestions and input on what they would like to see in our City and new District 3.

All Council candidates should be judged on:

  1. What they have done, and not on what they say they will do?
  2. What new businesses have they brought in to the District and City if any?

If you have any questions for Council Member Suchil please email him at Suchil@outlook.com and he thanks all residents for their continued support.
