Ten San Bernardino County elementary schools have received more than a combined $600,000 through the California Department of Education's After School Education and Safety Kids Code grant program.

The grants, which totaled $15 million statewide and are targeted for expanded learning programs, were determined based on the high free and reduced price meal data compiled through the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System.

The 10 county elementary schools (below with amount of grants received) are represented from the following five school districts:

Adelanto School District: Adelanto ($50,000), West Creek ($50,000) and Westside Park ($50,000);

Colton Joint Unified: Wilson ($65,000);

Fontana Unified: North Tamarind ($50,000) and Oleander ($65,000);

Rialto Unified: Casey ($65,000);

San Bernardino City Unified: Arrowhead ($50,000), Ballington Academy for the Arts and Sciences (charter, $50,000) and Bradley ($50,000).
