Homicide Investigation into Gunshot Victim

On 6/18/20 at approximately 11:38 PM, a shooting occurred in the 300 block of North Rexford Street in the City of Colton. Officers responded to a 911 call of a male subject unresponsive in the street. Officers responded to the location and located a male victim who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. The name of the victim is being withheld at this time pending family notification. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Scientific Investigations Unit also responded to assist with processing the crime scene. At this time the investigation is still ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Colton Police Department, Detective J. Ramirez at 909-370-5021.

**UPDATE**

During the ongoing investigation of the shooting death of Jimmy Nelson Colton Detectives developed leads and identified both Antonio Mastas-Kibe and Jourden Wilson as being the primary suspects involved in Nelson’s death. On 6/20/20 Detectives received information that Antonio Mastas-Kibe was in the City of Rancho Cucamonga. Detectives set up a surveillance in the area and Mastas-Kibe was located and arrested in the 9000 block of 5th street in the city of Rancho Cucamonga. On 6/20/20 Colton Detectives also located Jourden Wilson hiding in a residence located in the 1100 block of Runaway Circle in the city of Colton. Both Mastas-Kibe and Wilson were arrested for PC 187 (Murder) and PC 664/211 (Attempt Robbery).
